Hello, my name is Eddie Huffman. I am a line dancer, instructor and choreographer. I started dancing in 1998 and have been teaching for about 7 years. My wife, Elaine and I started line dancing in McDonough, GA from Tommy Bailey. We signed up for a six-week class and Tommy was teaching the Electric Slide. We went the first week and I struggled...so, next week I did not go to class...my wife went without me. I told her I could not learn the dance and was not going. Well needless to say...I went back to class. Tommy taught
me to dance and his wife Lynn encouraged me to teach. Thanks to these three for believing in me and because of this I have accomplished the following (& learned the Electric Slide):
* Choreographed a number of dances
* Five dances featured in the worldwide Linedancer Magazine
* Host an annual Line Dance Workshop in Gatlinburg, TN
* Co-host an annual Line Dance Jamboree in Griffin, GA
* In the 2010 GRPA Line Dance Competition, Born 2 Dance
representing Fayetteville, GA won 1st place in the large
category
* In the 2011 GRPA Line Dance Competition, Born 2 Dance won
1st place in the large category and overall high score;
Southern Delight won 1st place in the small category; and
Southern Tradition won 2d place in the medium category
